Payment Information

Yes Dr Rodriguez is  taking new patients!!   Due to practice restructuring, he has  immediate openings. please call the office for scheduling at 210-697-8500. The first session will be sixty minutes.

To be able to spend more time with his patients  Dr Rodriguez  is currently transitioning his practice to   “Private Pay fee for service patients”  payment is via cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) . For the time being he remains a network provider for the  three insurance plans below:

Value Options, United Behavioral Health and Tricare.

Insurance is verified prior to your visit to determine your benefits. Verification of benefits however, does not guarantee payment for services by your insurance company. You may have deductibles and/or co-payments that are due and payable on the date and time of service. These may differ depending on each individuals contracted arrangements with their respective insurance plans. Please find these out prior to the appointment time if feasible to avoid discrepancies.

Please note that your insurance policy is a contract between you,  your employer,  and the insurance company. Dr Rodriguez is not party to that contract. All charges are your responsibility whether your insurance company pays or not .  Please be advised  that Dr Rodriguez or the office  relationship is with you exclusively.

Private Pay Patients (all whom are not members of the above plans) are required to pay the full private-pay fee at the time the appointment is being set up. Via phone or in person at the office. Payment is accepted via Cash or Credit (Visa, Mastercard or Discover). Billing receipts can be provided for you to submit to your insurance company if requested.

Telephone appointments( for regular private pay patients only) are billed at  standard appointment rates.  Just as an office appointment, a credit card payment will be expected up front.

Missed Appointments and late cancellations are charged at full rate. To avoid this, please cancel your appointment at least 48 business hours in advance. We are closed on Friday and is not considered a business day. As there is a shortage of Psychiatrist a missed appointment is more than just an inconvenience, it prevented someone else from getting care. Missed appointment fees are waived for medical emergencies or obvious illness.

Controlled substance prescriptions (i.e. Stimulants) are given with appointment only, even if lost!
